Kent
Humphreys has been a business leader for over 30
years. He is a renowned speaker who has spoken in both national and
international business forums and seminars. Kent is also an established
author both independently and with his wife of 40 years, Davidene. Kent has
a business background in several different fields including product
distribution, real estate, venture capital and consulting.
After graduating
from the University of Oklahoma in 1968 with a Business Degree, he served as
an officer in the U.S. Army as an Officer in the Medical Service Corps for 4
years. Shortly after, Kent went into the distribution business with his
brothers where he worked as Owner, President,
and CEO at Jacks Merchandising and Distribution from 1972 to 1997. After
losing the entire business in the first 17 months of operation, they built
it into a national distribution firm over the next 24 years. They worked
with the nation’s largest retailers across 35 states and employed 400 people
locally throughout the acquisition of 23 firms in 25 years.
In 2002, Kent founded
American Health Diagnostics, a medical distribution and marketing company
that has received awards such as Distributor of the Year for Cardinal Health
(2004). Kent’s other companies include Ambassador Investments
(1987-present), multi-family housing investments; Triad Investments
(1992-present), commercial real estate investments; Creative Capital
(2001-present), venture capital and consulting.
Also in 2002, Kent became
CEO of Fellowship of Companies for Christ (Christ@Work). In this role he
leads Christian business owners and executives across the U.S. and in 20
nations. Kent has spoken at numerous international Christian gatherings
including Amsterdam (1986, 2000), Lausanne II in Manila (1989), and Asian
Church Leaders Conference in Singapore (2006). He has served on the board of
the Navigators for 20 years, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary,
Integris Hospital and other charitable organizations.
Kent and his wife Davidene
reside in Oklahoma with their 3 children and 8 grandchildren. The focus of
Kent’s personal interests and hobbies are his family and the travel he does
both inside and outside the business world.
